Greenhouse Gasses

Greenhouse gasses are gasses that trap heat in the atmosphere. Too many greenhouse gasses causes a very serious problem which we are witnessing today. More than 60% of all the Greenhouse Gasses created by food are by meat eaters. Cutting down on meats would make a significant difference around the world and would be a step in the right direction. We need to take action before it is too late. The United Nations say that the point of no return is rapidly approaching (the year 2035) if there is no dramatic reduction in greenhouse gasses emissions. The point of no return is a time where all the mistakes we have made and the damage we have caused will be irreversible. It is never too late to change and save the planet.

Time to Change

It is time to stop looking at the next person to stand up and fight. It is time to stop sitting back and letting our only home be destroyed. We have been killing this planet for many years. The cars we drive, the factories we use, the own food we eat. Everything has been adding up and now we are sitting in a hole, waiting for it to be too deep to climb out. This is not the case yet. We have the time and the resources to change. It starts with us, making simple choices that are better for the earth and ourselves.

What is the problem?

There are many problems causing pollution, climate change, and other environmental issues. I believe that one of the biggest issues is the food that we eat. Everyday we buy and eat many meats: beef, pork, chicken ect. The production of meat is harmful for our planet. Livestock production accounts for 70% of all agricultural land use, occupies 30% of the planet’s land surface and is responsible for 18 % of greenhouse gases such as methane and nitrous oxide. Just imagine how much could be fixed if we slowly eliminate or just cut down on our meat intake.
