I know it can be difficult to want to spend the time finding different delicious, healthy meals that are good for the environment. I will make your life easier and give you different suggestions of what to buy and what to cook.
How you can help
There are simple actions that every person at home can make. Although these suggestions might not seem like much, they will add up as more people make the change.
- Buy Organic foods. When at the supermarket buying organic foods rather than non organic foods is very beneficial. Organic foods limit the amount of chemicals and pesticides that are used. Less chemicals contaminating our water. Less chemicals killing our plants and crops. Less chemicals flowing inside of us.
- Buy Local Foods. Local foods help everyone. They do not need to be transported which means less cars on the roads. The food is cheaper when it is local and you no where it has been and who has touched it. The food is fresher and tastes better. A win win situation.
- Eat Less Meat. Very simple suggestion. Instead of having that simple hamburger that you get from Wendy’s or Mcdonalds, make your own meal from better more nutritious ingredients. The less meat that is eaten, the better. It will slowly help the environment and we will slowly see the impact of our changes.
